week 4

I enjoyed reading about your living situations. Everyone seems very settled and satisfied with your surroundings here. We are continuing to work on clear and descriptive writing. This week I want you to describe a place from your childhood. Describe it in such detail that your classmates can draw a sketch or diagram of it from your description.

Place of My Childhood

When I was 5 years old, I lived in Seoul, the capital of Korea until 9 years old. In the place I lived, there were huge apartment village only for Korean goverment employees. My family lived at 14th floor of 15-floors-high apartment. There were 8 units on each floor. So, I could make a many of friends with guys who lived other 7 units.
Everyday, I played with my older brother and my friends at the park which located in village or at the friends house until 8 o'clock. When I was playing in the park on night, my mama used to shout 'come up! take a dinner!'. But, I didn't usually go up to my house utill my mom call me at least 3 times. I used to made 'bombs' using sand to attack my brother and friedns. When I went up to mom after 'children's wars', my mom used to find fault with my dirty hands and clothes.
This is my momory in childhood place.

My elementary school located halfway up a hill. I used to walk 15 minutes to school everyday. There were quiet and I could hear birds singing in the morning. Mary trees had stood on the both sides of the road and not much car rode there, so I could breathe fresh air everyday. I know that might be very simple for many people but for me is not, as I grown in Hong Kong. At the autumn, many brown leafs were fallen down from trees, I liked step on these to make the funny sound while walking. My childhood was passed in that place quickly.

Father’s birthplace where is most unforgettable childhood in my life. Father caught a serious disease when I was nine years old, because he needs a quiet place to recuperate the body. My family gets back to father's birthplace where suburb to live, because there is no air pollution, traffic jam and crowd. I still remember the house is a Chinese courtyard house. There has a huge square that shines corn and located in the house middle, the place where the child usually played inside, there have fruit tree and a small pond in the left front of the house. There have a well, shine the clothing area, and lavatory at left rear, also have other uncle family lived on the right of the house. There has a streamlet along the road going out. I often caught the frog in the streamlet. Although only a short time, I enjoy quiet with comfortable in there for one year, I think when I was retired, I want to live in such place in the future.

When I was young, I lived traditional agricultural country in Korea. There was a small village. Actually, I was born at the village. So, I knew all of people at my village. Almost of people grew up pig or cow. And they engaged in farming. It’s important as earning money. My village isn’t pollution. I always breathed fresh air. In summer, I was very busy. Because I hung out with my friends at a stream. We went to fishing or swimming. When I was 11 years old, my village was disappear because of redevelopment. So, I had to move another city until finished redevelopment. It takes more than 3 years. I was very sad because the village was my hometown. After 3 years, My village changed great city. I can’t find before my village’s appearance. There were many APT, cars and stores. Obviously, many things were convenient. But I lost my playground. I want to go back my childhood occasionally.

I started learn how to play a cello at age seven. After 1 year, I joined a string orchestra. The orchestra had twenty members; violinists, cellists and violists. Every day we were staying a practice room. That's why the practice room flashed through on my mind if remember that my childhood.
The place had 6 rooms, a big hall and a small kitchen. The hall had a grand piano, several chairs and music stands. We could play together at hall. After then we did grouping practice in the small room. Most 5 people could go in the room. There is nothing and just door had a tiny square window. We brought chairs and music stands and then practice. The small kitchen had a sink, a stove and a microwave. We always cooked something and shared agter practice. There never ending sound of strings and delicious smelling.

I spent a lot of time in my high school, so I like it very much. It is old and pretty small. There are two buildings, one is left and other is right. Every one has three floors My school is painted with the yellow. This color is a tradition color of school in my country so I feel it is ancient. There are many trees and benches around the school yard. Furthermore, my school is in suburb so the air is pure. Everyday, it took me 15 minutes to go there. I liked go to school in the morning because it was quite desert and calm. I haven't gone to school for 2 years but I always remember every thing which belongs to my high school.

When I was young, I lived in Chaing Mai northern Thailand, where I was born. I have two older sisters in my family. I started enjoyed international club with Y.M.C.A., where is place for learn volunteer development in the village. They had many programs that is activity doing with international students. For example they were building school library whit student from Y.M.C.A. Australia, who is part of program in one week. I was impressing with programs, that was nice experienced to learn each other’s life style and culture. Most interesting point, they taught unity of program, which were difficult to pass in that time. Because we’re young teen students, which had success mission and great remember. I hope to visit the school library again, where is place to remind it is great thing form my hands.

Place of My Childhood
I always clearly remember my happy childhood in a busy city, Xinzhuang, Taiwan. My family lived in a noise community of industry near a very famous university when I studied in elementary school. I walked to the school very slowly every day, but I ran by my fastest speed to go home after the boring school. I played baseball with my brother and our friendly neighbors. We usually played on the wide and clean street of the community. Sometimes we were totally illegal to play baseball in the beautiful grassplot of the university. The community was full of factory. There were a lot of annoying noises from the factories in the day time. Fortunately, there was no factory working at night. I had a lot of good time when I lived there.

There was a sweet memory when I was a child that I was playing with my neighbor, 1 years older than me, on the hill at back of my grandfather’s house. I have a great feeling of the lovely hills. Beautiful flowers blooming throughout every season as if whole year is spring. At the foot of hill, there was a clear river which I like best. In the hot summer I was often swimming in cool water and fishing with some active guys.
